Welcome
Self-Help Housing
Self-Help Housing creates homeownership opportunities for low-income families. Self-Help Housing Programs through out the country provide technical resources and construction supervision in assisting families in building their own homes.
Participant families work collectively to complete the labor required to build each home. The process builds self-esteem and teaches the value of teamwork. The end result is that participant families' sweat equity is their down payment on their new home.
